Title: Structural Welder Apprentice
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: To be Negotiated. Coveralls program, 10%
bonus for being on time and working full shifts, overtime. After 3 months:
health and dental benefits, profitability bonuses, corporate RRSP contributions,
other benefits.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Credentials: CWB certified for SMAW flat position
Experience: Experience an asset
Workplace Setting: Welding and fabrication facility,
indoors, industrial
Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication, Pipe supports
Welding Techniques/Processes: Shielded metal arc welding
(SMAW), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Materials: Steel, Stainless steel, Chromoly, Aluminum
alloys,
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications,
operate manual welding equipment, flame-cutting equipment, iron worker,
punches, presses, metal saw, metal shaping equipment, bending machines,
fitting, operate drill presses, prepare jigs or set-ups for welding
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Welding
helmet
Location: We are located in Winterburn, own transportation
or ride recommended, potential car pooling available
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced
environment, Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity,
standing

Specific Skills: Lay out reference points and patterns, Assemble and fit
plates and sections to form structures, Construct patterns and templates.
Interpret welding process specifications, operate manual welding equipment,
flame-cutting equipment, iron worker, punches, presses, metal saw, metal
shaping equipment, bending machines, fitting, operate drill presses, prepare
jigs or set-ups for welding,
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Welding helmet

Title: Metal Fabrication Worker

Specific Skills: Operate grinders, and other metal cleaning equipment to
remove excess weld, deburr edges, from surfaces of metal products, Assist
structural steel and platework fitters, welders. Transport, load
and unload raw materials and finished metal products. Clean work
areas and equipment, Load and unload vehicles, assemble and fit plates,
operate manual welding equipment, flame-cutting equipment, iron worker,
punches, presses, metal saw, metal shaping equipment, bending machines,
operate drill presses and hand tools.
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
